The symbolic imagery:
Genesius ponders the tragic/comic masks on an empty stage in a classic Greek theatre (the black cat walking is a traditional symbol of luck). Heavenly spotlights illuminate the muses and an angel. A laurel wreath (for honor) waits on the floor. The border is composed of various performance symbols and is reminiscent of Greco-Roman pottery.
