The symbolic imagery:
Groups of three are often associated with this popular saint and are found here in numerous places (including three bears symbolizing Russia as well as the North Pole). Myrrh entwines one border while holly and a robin adorn the other. Stars, children, pomegranates (for generous abundance) as well as images from legends combine to form the whole.
