Lugh

Lugh Celtic god of the harvestLughnasadh is celebrated on August 1

Celtic deity presiding over the harvest, the arts and the sciences

The symbolism and inspiration:

Lugh is halting at the gates of Tara, his hound beside him, ahead of the setting sun. Included in the Celtic border is a scythe, which also appears to be a question mark. There are numerous other images gleaned from his folklore.
